Announcements about learning from home for Māori learners and whānau

Today, Hon Chris Hipkins and Hon Kelvin Davis announced how the Government is moving quickly to roll out learning from home, and how we are making learning from home accessible to Māori learners and whānau.
Minister Davis refers to several kaupapa and initiatives that we are preparing to support whānau and ākonga Māori when kōhanga reo and kura return next week.
Some of these initiatives include:
- Māori Television and new educational te reo programmes
- Ki te Ao Mārama – a cool new online learning space for ākonga, whānau and kaiako
- Thousands of hard copy learning packs ready for distribution to whānau
- Helpdesk and advice service for kōhanga, kura and wharekura.
